Prepare Your Workspace Step 1
Prepare your workspace by setting down plastic sheeting or newspaper over the area you will be working on. Make sure the room is well ventilated, as resin can produce fumes.
Step 2: Mix the Resin
Mix resin and hardener, following the instructions in your epoxy resin kit. In the majority of kits, you will mix them in equal portions, though always follow the manufacturer's instructions. Stir so that the mix is smooth and streak-free for 3 to 5 minutes.
Step 3: Add Color
Set aside the mixed resin in different cups if you want to achieve multi-colored effects. Then add pigments or dyes with a small quantity and increase the quantity gradually until you achieve the desired color. Shake well to distribute the color evenly.
